Seeing how deviantART is celebrating it's 14th anniversary I figured it would be good to participate and look back on things.
It has been almost 8 years since I first joined this site and posted art. Granted that I'll admit it wasn't the full original reason why I joined.
I joined DA halfway through my first half of freshmen year in high school. At that time I went on during one of my classes that literally no one would ever show up to.
When no one showed up computer free time was allotted. Because of that it was the first real time I actually used the computer and internet in my life.
Naturally I did what an teen boy would do. I'd search for "questionable materials" and comics to pass the time.
Believe it or not this was the first deviantART picture that I came across in my internet searches.
's picture of a plus sized May that brought me onto DA.
It also showed me that there was much of the internet that I missed out on.
You ought to recognize this little gif. This is my first and only avie I'll ever use on this site. This was my first real DA/internet gift I received from
This little treasure showed me the kindness that this site and the internet could bare.
This picture is from
. An artist that inspired me with his great artwork and fun comics to pick up my pencil once more and create visual art once again.
I thank him for that each time I start a new picture or comic.
This picture is from a crazy artist known as
. This piece shows that putting all the crazy in your artwork makes it all that more enjoyable. It also taught me never to hold back on the nuts and craze when I work.
This picture is from
the only DA artist I accidentally ran into a long time ago at Momocon. This also happened to be one of the pieces that I bought from him and got his autograph on it at the time. This piece reminds me to put myself out there with my work so I can be remembered.
This is my latest piece of works that I last posted that shows how I changed since my start on DA but, by no means illustrates my limit on what I currently can do today. I think this piece shows if you put time into something you can grow and do something great regardless of limitations one might have.
I have enjoyed the years I've been apart of the DA community and interacted with the artists here. I hope for many more years of fun to come.
